It is a traditional learning method where teachers and students attend in-person session at the same time and place. The teachers lead the class and student, usually are passively learning.
Measuring Up: Online Learning vs Face-to-face
- Asynchronous learning (online learning) vs synchronous learning (face-to-face)
- Delivering knowledge (face-to-face) vs facilitating knowledge (online learning)
- Teacher (face-to-face) vs child-led advancement (online learning)
- Discipline and self-motivation (highly required for online learning because no-one is keeping on track of the students)
- Measuring performance (participation and class attendance is harder to measure in online environment)
Benefits of Face-to-face Learning
